When all the cat breeds had been created, there was a box of spare parts left over. In 1960, Mother Nature at last made a use of them. And produced the Pixie of the Cat Fancy, the DEVON REX. Considering how disparate and distinct the parts are in this naturally mutated breed, the whole is amazingly harmonious.

The Devon Rex is a breed of unique appearance. It has large eyes, short muzzle, prominent cheekbones, and huge low seat ears; that create a characteristic elfin look. A cat of medium cat frame, the Devon is well covered with soft, wavy fur; the fur is of distinctive texture.
